What started as a hobby/coping technique, eventually became a unique business. My name is Teneesha “Bella” James and I was exposed to crocheting at a very young age by my mother and grandmother. I made a few small items, like blankets and scarfs, because those were the easiest items to make based on the techniques I was taught (at that time). Nonetheless, I was always fascinated by the possibilities of making a unique item that would make others say, WOW! This brought me to my first unique creation, a Red, Green, & Gold purse at the young age of 16. I realized I had something in me. A talent that allows me to express my creativity.
It wasn’t until fall 2012, during a significant life changing experience, where I would truly discover my true talents. I manifested the idea to create a fall crochet line of products to cope with my depression and anxiety during this very difficult stage of my life. That’s when the mission became clearer and Forever Bless Creations was born. With distinctive designs because of my creative mind, yarn and a hook, the mission of Forever Bless Creations is:
Crocheting, to me, is more than just making a granny styled blanket to throw over yourself when you are cold. I am able to use this unique yet ancient technique to create fashionable items. It also helps me maintain a balanced emotional state when the mental fluctuates. This self-fulfilling talent has transformed into a passion and purpose to share the endless possibilities in crocheting. Its art therapy that helps you make money and that is a reward within itself. My goal is to share this with you, so if you ever had an interest in crocheting, send me a message in the “contact me” section and it will be my pleasure to show you everything I know and more. Let’s grow together!
Another form of Art Therapy that captured my devotion is YOGA. During 2020, I decided to dig deeper into my practice by focusing more on the philosophies and true meaning of Yoga. With COVID-19, the Black Lives Matter Movement, and the major influence of Social Media, I wanted to do more and be more. I was presented with a scholarship to become 200hr Certified Yoga instructor by My Vinyasa Practice who had a mission to make Yoga more accessible to the community that needs it the most. This was the best decision I ever made in my life! Stay tuned, there’s much more to come on this journey of discovering ones highest potential, and I want YOU to join this journey with me…
